We are a non-profit educational training organization serving Central Florida. We provide various certification trainings as well as non-certification trainings.
Our History
- 1985 Began teaching CPR in greater Lakeland, FL.
- 1988 Funded by Polk County Commissioners to expand services throughout Polk County, FL.
- 2002 Began teaching Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Training to non-healthcare courses.
- 2011 Started offering Hands Only CPR (Check, Call, Compress) classes to community.
- 2012 Initiated “Hands Only in Our Schools”.
- 2015 Citizen CPR celebrates 30 years!
Meet The Team

Tina White
Executive Director, Instructor Relations Coordinator, Chairman
Tina has been a Training Center Faculty member with Citizen CPR for the past 12 years and recently joined the Board of Directors. Before retiring, Tina worked for Polk County Emergency Management & Fire Rescue as the Medical Training Officer. She was the lead officer with responsibilities including developing & leading training programs for new employees and, working with the Medical Director to write, revise, & implement local Protocols. As their Training Site Coordinator for all AHA programs (BLS, ACLS, PALS) she was also responsible for employee training/retraining to ensure all personnel were able to recertify their necessary credentials (EMT, Paramedic). This skill set will help Citizen CPR prepare our Instructors for working with our agency while also ensuring they meet the highest quality of standards for certifications. Tina is a welcomed addition to our growing team of volunteers!

Lizette Batterton
Finance Manager, Treasurer
Every great operation is only sustainable with efficient and effective financial management. With over 20 years of financial management in her background, Lizette brings a sense of urgency to both our customers and our board of directors when ensuring that we have proper billing and transparent finances. As a non-profit charitable organization, we are accountable to many and Lizette is here to ensure that accountability is top of mind for all involved.

Amanda Rodriguez
Operations Manager
With nearly 20 years’ experience in operations, supervision and management, Amanda is a dedicated leader and takes pride in overseeing all daily operations. Her strong customer service skills and team approach are the perfect tools to use as she works hand and hand with our instructors and clients to ensure each training class is a wonderful experience for everyone involved and leaves participants comfortable with their newly gained skills. Amanda has a big heart for her community and enjoys serving in it with her family. She is married with 2 young children and enjoys every aspect of family life. You will love working with her!
