COVID-19 Position Statement

Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our world.

For Citizen CPR, Inc. (CCPR) that means understanding how it affects our employees, instructors, students and communities, and then making the necessary adjustments to our training and operations.

We have one simple objective that guides us: keeping students, our instructors and our employees safe. This has been at the center of our conversations every step of the way.

With that in mind, we have made several moves in our organization in response to the threat of the coronavirus. We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus. We have shared specific instructions with our instructors and employees on the importance of washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick. Per CDC recommendations, we will ask employees, students and instructors if they have a fever, cough or shortness of breath, and/or any recent history of international travel or cruise, as being identified as posing a coronavirus-related risk. These candidates will be requested to post-pone class participation and to seek advice from a medical expert.  We will advise employees and instructors who have traveled to such restricted locations, or have been exposed to others who have traveled to such locations to follow-up with a health care provider and self-quarantine for 14 days.

Please know, we are making an effort to follow all CDC, AHA, and ASHI guidelines and implementing immediate changes required as they become known to us.

We are a local nonprofit, and we are going the extra mile to make sure the health of our students, instructors and employees is a top priority. We will continue to refer to the CDC, the World Health Organization and other public health agencies to determine the safest course of action for everyone who enrolls in our classes.

Thank you for your understanding and please continue to support us and other local businesses!
